This Privacy Policy explains how MailProof (“MailProof”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and service (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — your name and email address, provided directly or via Google sign-in.
- Authentication data — a hashed password (if you register with email/password) or a Google account identifier.
- Content you submit — the email HTML you paste in order to generate a preview, and the preview links created from it.
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor (DodoPayments). We do not store your full card details.
- Usage data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — render previews, generate shareable proof links, and manage your account.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and meter free-plan usage.
- To communicate with you about your account or the Service.
3. Shared proof links
When you create a proof, we generate a public link containing the email content you submitted. Anyone with the link can view that content. Do not paste confidential information you are not comfortable sharing via an unguessable public URL.
4. Service providers
We rely on third parties to operate the Service, including database hosting (Neon), application hosting (Vercel), Google (sign-in), and DodoPayments (payments). These providers process data only as needed to deliver their function.
5. Data retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated previews at any time by contacting us.
6. Your rights
